Spring 2026 Strategy: New Series & Schedule

Spring Lineup at a Glance

Major Premiere Only Friends: Dream On
March Coverage 3 New Critical Series

Current Status: Sunsetting “Yesterday” & “My Romance Scammer”

Full Broadcast Schedule: Synced in Sidebar

The arrival of the Spring 2026 season necessitates a recalibration of our critical lens. As the BL landscape shifts from mere entertainment into a more complex architectural form, my coverage must pivot to follow the narrative weight. This isn’t just a change in schedule; it is a commitment to auditing the soul-level connections and artistic ambitions that define the genre’s new era.

To make room for a massive March expansion, I am officially sunsetting my coverage of “Yesterday” and “My Romance Scammer.” While the journey was intriguing, my focus now shifts toward three highly anticipated series that demand a deeper level of engagement and thematic auditing.

1. Only Friends: Dream On (Premiere)

📸: GMMTV   |   Analysis Launch: March 1st

A high-stakes production of Romeo & Romeo serves as the backdrop for a chaotic collision of artistic ambition, bitter rivalries, and deeply tangled personal relationships among a group of performing arts students. My analysis will focus on the performative nature of their intimacy and the erosion of the “fourth wall” in their private lives.

2. The Sun From Another Star (Premiere)

📸: Studio Wabi Sabi   |   Analysis Launch: March 7th

Artistic Daotok reluctantly joins his neighbor’s search for a lost soul, discovering that the living world is a lot brighter with Arthit by his side. As they bridge the gap between two different worlds, he finds that even a distant star can be pulled into the warmth of a persistent sun. My analysis will explore the semiotics of isolation and the narrative tension between celestial displacement and the grounding reality of earthly belonging.

3. Love Upon A Time (Premiere)

📸: Mandee Work   |   Analysis Launch: March 28th

A rare celestial event transports modern-day student Nakhun four centuries into the past, where he must navigate the perilous social hierarchies of the Ayutthaya era within the body of a missing nobleman. His encounter with Muen Phop, a disciplined official, sparks a forbidden connection that challenges the boundaries of identity and time. As Nakhun uncovers the mystery of his predecessor’s disappearance, he discovers that some souls are tethered across lifetimes, waiting for the stars to align once more. My analysis will audit the temporal aesthetics of the Ayutthaya period and the semiotics of reincarnation, focusing on the narrative tension between modern pragmatic identity and the spiritual gravity of fated destiny.

This Spring marks a shift toward more deliberate, focused critique. Alongside these new premieres, I will be concluding my analysis of “Love Me if You Swear” on March 6th. To better explore the architectural nuances of storytelling, I am pivoting away from “My Romance Scammer” to prioritize the historical epic “Love Upon a Time,” beginning March 28th. This addition is essential for auditing the evolution of the period-BL subgenre. Stay tuned as I integrate this and other upcoming titles into my current rotation!
